About Me

My professional journey is centered around a fascination for the ways that humans perceive and experience things and a passion for designing those experiences. As a student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I cobbled together my own curriculum to follow this curiosity. I focused my learning on a sort of blend between anthropology and design -- taking courses in user experience design, ethnographic research, usability, and brand strategy. When not in class, I could be found in the school's library reading strange books from the '70s about spatial psychology. I continued to follow these threads, studying abroad in Wellington, New Zealand where I focused on industrial design theory, cultural anthropology, and sociolinguistics.

I began my career near my hometown in Wisconsin, primarily focused on the digital side -- working on a variety of user experience and information architecture projects for websites and apps. A move to New York City marked a shift in my career towards strategy consulting and experience design, spanning both virtual and in-person experiences, particularly in services, programs, and events.

Over the last decade, I've dedicated myself to designing experiences that are meaningful and deeply resonate with participants. What distinguishes my work is my holistic approach: crafting experiences that are audience-centered, inclusive and equitable, sensory-rich, support wellbeing, and make an impact. I focus on ensuring satisfaction not only for end-users but also for those bringing the experiences to life.

As a multidisciplinary designer, my expertise extends to designing events, programs, team operations, tools & resources, and more. I am especially skilled at designing experiences that aim to foster connection and collaboration. Beyond my professional endeavors, I maintain a personal art practice, creating works that explore perception and connection.
